Time: 11:00 AM - 1:30 PM
The Carlson Funds Enterprise is proud to host Mellody Hobson, President of Ariel Investments, as keynote speaker of Where are the Women? A Conversation on Gender Balance in Finance. Ms. Hobson joined Ariel in 1991 after graduating from Princeton University where she received her AB degree from the Woodrow Wilson School of International Relations and Public Policy. Ms. Hobson is a regular contributor on "Good Morning America", a frequent guest on ABC's World News Tonight, and has been quoted and profiled in several finance publications.
Attendees will have the opportunity to network, hear a dynamic national keynote speaker, and learn from a panel of knowledgeable financial professionals. The session, moderated by Roshini Rajkumar, will provide an insightful discussion on a variety of topics including how an inclusive workplace can benefit financial organizations, why women should choose finance, and ways to assist those who are early in their career to successfully navigate obstacles they may encounter along the way.
The Carlson School of Management is committed to providing women with opportunities and resources to enrich their professional careers and help them to thrive in leadership roles in finance. The purpose of this luncheon is to open the conversation about opportunities for the finance industry through a higher level of gender balance.
