Time: 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM
Planning for the future is difficult. With everything happening faster and faster, what can we do to better anticipate change? Understand its consequences? Improve our decisions? How do we go beyond strategic planning and discover exceptional opportunities?
To provide the tools necessary to scout, envision, innovate, and lead forward thinking organizations, the Office of Research, Innovation, and Outreach (RIO) in the U of M’s College of Education and Human Development is pleased to announce a new partnership with internationally-renowned futurist and U of M alum, Joel Barker.
During his 35 years as a futurist, speaker, and consultant, Joel has helped organizations around the world understand, anticipate and take advantage of change. This session will preview a series of professional development workshops and certificates based on the proven strategic exploration tools and techniques he has developed which dramatically increase an organization’s ability to see beyond the horizon.
There is no cost for the session-- this event is intended to be a preview of upcoming professional development courses that will be offered by the University of Minnesota.
Registration & breakfast: 8:30 a.m.
Program: 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
