Does an instructor’s use of plagiarism detection software signal a lack of trust in students’ academic integrity? Do students learn important lessons about authorship, contemporary citation practices, or formative assessment by using such software during the drafting and revision process? Can the software support or enhance contemporary approaches to writing pedagogy? Join us as we discuss the pros and cons of plagiarism detection software.
