Time: 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM
Location: U of M Bookstore Coffman Memorial Union
Description: Therese Zink, author and University of Minnesota professor, will discuss her new books Becoming a Doctor: Reflections and Confessions of a Sin Eater: A Doctor’s Reflections on Thursday, September 20 at 4:30 p.m. at the University of Minnesota Bookstore in Coffman Memorial Union, 300 Washington Ave. S.E. Minneapolis.
Zink, a family physician who practices in rural Minnesota, shares the stories of Minnesota medical students as they reflect on their experiences in the anatomy lab and library, on the hospital wards, and in clinic exam rooms as they learn to negotiate the path of becoming a physician in Becoming a Doctor: Reflections. Zink examines the limits and uncertainties of her treatments for healing, and the reality that some of her actions cause pain in Confessions of a Sin Eater.
Zink will sign copies of her books following the discussion. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, or to order a signed copy visit www.bookstore.umn.edu/genref/authors.html.
