Bagels Beyond Boundaries: The Role of Technology in Collaboration

10/27/17, 8:30 AM

About this event

Bagels Beyond Boundaries provides an informal space for students, staff and faculty to engage in discussion over bagels and coffee. Speakers from different sectors will illuminate examples from their own experience or research on ways to bring people together across boundaries to address a particular issue.

Join us on October 27, 2017 from 8:30-9:30am in the Humphrey School of Public Affairs, Freeman Commons (room 205) for a Bagels Beyond Boundaries conversation about the role of technology in collaboration. Presenters Carissa Slotterback (Humphrey School) and Len Kne (U-Spatial) will highlight engaged research conducted as part of the New Agricultural Bioeconomy Project. Slotterback and Kne will share insights from a collaborative stakeholder process conducted in the Seven Mile Creek Watershed in Nicollet County that explored opportunities for landscape change to advance environmental protection and economic opportunities.  The presentation will include a demo of the unique interactive - touchscreen "geodesign" technology that was used to actively engage stakeholder participants in exploring landscape scenarios.

Please RSVP if you plan to attend so that we can be sure to have enough bagels and coffee for all: z.umn.edu/2w1h
