Hubbard School of Journalism & Mass Communication Presents
HSJMC Spring Showcase 2018
4/25/18, 5:01 PM
About this event
You're invited to the Hubbard School of Journalism & Mass Communication's 2018 Spring Showcase: A Celebration of Excellence.
Join us for dinner as we celebrate the innovation, creativity and generosity of our students, alumni and donors. Explore outstanding work at the Student Showcase and congratulate our many scholarship recipients and soon-to-be grads.
We'll present our 2018 Award for Excellence to Michele Norris (B.A.,'05), a Peabody Award-winning journalist, founder of The Race Card Project and Executive Director of The Bridge, The Aspen Institute's new program on race, identity, connectivity and inclusion. Norris is recognized for her work as a host of NPR's "All Things Considered," where she interviewed world leaders, American presidents, Nobel laureates, leading thinkers and groundbreaking artists. She was also the recipient of the International Women's Media Foundation inaugural Gwen Ifill Award in 2017, which recognizes outstanding female journalists of color.
We'll also recognize the four recipients of our Above the Fold awards, which honor alumni under age 40 who have achieved early career distinction.
