Presenting your design work to an audience is a craft. You must be able to read your audience and interactive with your visuals in a conversational yet authoritative way, anticipating and handling questions--all while managing your own nerves. In this presentation, you’ll learn techniques for keeping your audience engaged and interested.  Deborah Levison is a professor in the Humphrey School of Public Affairs; she has taught graduate-level public speaking courses for five years. Ann Fandrey is an academic technologist in College of Liberal Arts and is the author of the forthcoming book, Academic Slide Design: Visual Communication for Teaching and Learning.

Contact Kady Johnson if you have any questions at kjohnso@umn.edu.

Presented by the College of Design, Student Services, Alumni Relations, and Design Student and Alumni Board thanks to our generous 2016-17 College to Career Program sponsors: Gardner Builders, Haworth, Made for Retail, and Wold Architects and Engineers; and Damon Farber, HGA, and Studio Hive.
