About this event
The Public and Nonprofit Leadership Center (PNLC) hosts a Theory to Practice (T2P) lunch hour learning series to take what Humphrey students are learning in the classroom and to discuss what this looks like in practice in the sector. Topics of discussion will range from the public and nonprofit sectors, to leadership and management.

Humphrey School of Public Affairs
You are a systems change agent. No matter what organization you work for or what position you have within that organization, your actions and inactions have a direct effect on the system. Sometimes, you might be acutely aware of the impact you have. Other times, your impact might be more subtle or implicit. In either case, the decisions you make and the actions you take play a role in shaping the system you are in.
Join the staff of the Public and Nonprofit Leadership Center (PNLC) for a systems change simulation that will help you understand how your identity and the choices you make impact the system. There is no decision or action too small. Incremental changes impact the system in big ways, especially when done in connection with others.
After this session, you will have a deeper awareness of what systems change is and what innovation looks like on multiple levels. Based on our expertise of systems change work in workforce development, poverty, and human services at the PNLC, we will share the lessons we have learned, including what is necessary when there are shocks, obstacles, or challenges that require making shifts. By the end of this session, you will experience and absorb key takeaways that will inspire and equip you to understand your impact in systems change. Bring your lunch and join the conversation!
