Health Disparities Round Table Incarceration: A Public Health Issue

About this event

The purpose of the round table is to bring national and local speakers to campus to discuss emerging issues in health and racial equity research, policy and/or practice. This year's round table will identify strategies to prevent individuals from entering the criminal justice system and examine what can be done to reduce the impact of incarceration on the health of family members.

Director and Founder of the Center for Juvenile Justice Reform at Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy.
Lee Buckley, M.A.
Community Reentry Coordinator, Reentry Services, Minnesota Department of Corrections.
Nekima Levy-Pounds, J.D., D.Th.
a renowned civil rights attorney, and national expert on public policy and the juvenile and criminal justice systems.

Free and open to the public.

This event is eligible for 2.5 CPH recertification credits and 0.25 CEUs.
