Frankenstein at 200! Early Monster Movies

9/25/18, 7:00 PM

About this event

In 1818, 20-year-old Mary Shelley published Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus. This fall, the Department of English marks the book's 200th anniversary with public readings, screenings, and talks that will explore many monster creations and honor the woman who wrote the first ever science fiction novel.

The series kicks off September 25 with a talk and discussion on favorite fiends of early cinema. Check out the other series events here.

All events are free and open to the public. For disabilities accommodations and information about the venue, email Terri Sutton at sutt0063@umn.edu or call 612-626-1528.
