With Nancy Gertner, Harvard Law, Retired Federal Judge and Lecia Brooks, Outreach Director, Southern Poverty Law Center, in conversation with Elaine Tyler May, History, University of Minnesota
 
This panel discussion will bring Gertner and Brooks into a moderated conversation on issues of race and justice in America. They will discuss the roles of the justice system and advocacy, and why the history of the late 1960s is so relevant to issues of violence and race today. The audience will be invited to participate in the conversation with these two distinguished speakers, to address the fraught topic of race and justice in America.
 
This talk is part of the IAS's yearlong 1968-1969 presentation and discussion series, copresented by Northrop and the University Honors Program.
