Art of Architectural Daylighting

9/1/18, 1:00 PM

About this event

Daylight shapes architecture at all scales - from site planning to building form, from room configuration and finishes to detailing of the structure and envelope. It informs the architectural vocabulary and aesthetic language of the building and is a primary force in defining the atmospheric qualities and program responses. This exhibition uses twelve case studies to explore how contemporary architects have bridged the poetic and practical of daylighting. These “masters of light” artfully reconcile the objective attributes of site, climate, and program with the subjective qualities of beauty and human experience.
