The Minnesota Chinese New Year Gala Celebration to be held on Feb. 13, 2011 has become a hot topic in local Chinese-American circles. The “Embrace China” All-Star Performing Troop, organized by the several major local Chinese organizations, will be coming to Minnesota again during the 2011 Chinese Spring Festival!
Unlike previous performances which featured primarily local talent, this gala celebration will focus on the meticulously selected best numbers of the All-Star visiting troop, giving the audience in Minnesota the opportunity to enjoy nationally-renowned artists from China. The shows this year will be rich and colorful, including traditional singing and dances, folk hand shadow show, ventriloquy and magic. You can purchase tickets by contacting the following locations:

Parking is available at the 21st Avenue and 19th Avenue parking ramps on the West Bank at the University of Minnesota. Cost is $6.00 per car, pay as you enter, cash or check only. There are also four handicapped parking spaces on the turn circle drive in front of Ted Mann Hall available to Ted Mann patrons on a first come, first served basis one hour before and ½ hour after Ted Mann events.
