Environmental Health Night: National Public Health Week Film Festival

Description:

The 9th Annual National Public Health Week Film Festival is a five-day free festival open to the public. On Thursday, Apr. 4, we'll be screening the following film:

FILM: Bhopali (80 min.)

DESCRIPTION: Bhopali is a feature documentary about the survivors of the world's worst industrial disaster, the 1984 Union Carbide gas leak in Bhopal, India. The disaster contaminated the ground water and caused the second generation of residents to cope with ongoing medical and social ailments. Though as the suffering continues, it has prompted the victims to fight for justice against Union Carbide, the American corporation responsible for the disaster.
