CSE Winter Light Show "Illumination"

Location: Plaza, Civil Engineering

Cost: Free and open to the public

Description:

Join the University of Minnesota College of Science and Engineering for a dazzling light show designed by students. The entire Civil Engineering Building Plaza will be covered in lights for an immersive 3D outdoor experience entitled "Illumination." This year's show is bigger and better featuring 100,000 LED lights set to music composed and performed by University of Minnesota students. The entire show will last about 20 minutes. The light show is presented by the Tesla Works student group with help from Radio K. The CSE Winter Light Show is sponsored by the College of Science and Engineering and CenterPoint Energy.

Shows on Thursday, Dec. 20 are at 5:30 p.m., 6 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7 p.m., and 7:30 p.m.

Final shows are (depending on weather and attendance):

  • Friday, Dec. 21
    5:30 p.m., 6 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7 p.m., and 7:30 p.m.
