The U of M Bookstore will be on site the night of the event selling copies of the presenters books at a discounted rate. There will be time after the program to have books signed and talk with the presenter for those who are interested.

B. Joseph Pine II, an internationally acclaimed author, speaker, and management advisor. But he’s also a local boy, having grown up in Apple Valley, worked for IBM in Rochester, and now living in Dellwood. Joe specializes in helping people see the world of business differently through speaking, workshops, executive education, and through his many ground-breaking books, beginning with the award-winning Mass Customization: The New Frontier in Business Competition and including Authenticity: What Consumers Really Want and most recently Infinite Possibility: Creating Customer Value on the Digital Frontier. And of special note for us, his best-selling book The Experience Economy: Work Is Theatre & Every Business a Stage, which was named one of the 100 best business books of all time in 2009 while in 2011 it came out in an Updated Edition with new ideas, new frameworks, and many, many new exemplars. So to understand what staging retail experiences is all about, please join us at the event to welcome one of the world’s foremost authorities on what is going on in business today, Joe Pine.

Driving and Parking Info:
The University Avenue Ramp (entry on University) is the closest ramp to the the McNamara Alumni Center, and is connected via tunnel on the lower level. The Washington Avenue Ramp and ground lots near the stadium are also nearby options. If you plan to drive, please prepare for parking (Typically up to $10).
