Description:

In this annual Creative Writing Program event, authors who have recently published their first books will read and talk about the path to publication, along with Coffee House Press publisher and editor Chris Fischbach. Kate Hopper is a Creative Writing Program MFA graduate who published her first memoir, Ready for Air: A Journey Through Premature Motherhood, this past fall. She is also the author of a writing guide entitled Use Your Words. Joshua Ostergaard, another MFA alum, publishes his first book, The Devil's Snake Curve: A Fan's Notes from Left Field with Coffee House this spring. Andy Sturdevant is the author of the essay collection Potluck Supper with Meeting to Follow, also with Coffee House Press. The authors' books will be available for sale and signing. This event is free and open to the public. Co-sponsored by the Weisman Art Museum.
