Please join the Immigration History Research Center for a Global REM lecture by Rachel Buff, associate professor of History at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, entitled "The Strange Case of William Heikkila, and Other Stories Regarding Deportation of the Foreign Born in Early Cold War America."

Professor Buff is an IHRC/A 50th Anniversary Visiting Fellow. She earned her Ph.D. in American Studies from the University of Minnesota in 1995. Her research interests include immigration, immigrant rights, transnational cultural politics of the Cold War, and diasporic cultural citizenship.

This event is free and open to the public. Feel free to bring a bag lunch.
