On August 1st, Minnesota’s marriage equality bill went into effect. Join us for a discussion with experts on the passage of this bill.

Minnesota State Representative Karen Clark, a co-sponsor of the bill, will talk about the specific cases that led up to the passing of HF 1054. Faculty will share some of the wide-ranging research conducted in liberal arts disciplines on marriage including the important role of marriage in citizenship, the changing social patterns of contemporary marriage, and the diverse critiques made by feminist and GLBTQ scholars for and against marriage as an institution.

The event will conclude with audience Q&A, followed by a cake and punch reception. Free! Let us know you're coming, please register to attend.
