A World Cafe Discussion on Masculinity, Men's Issues, and Gender Equity

Date: 04/11/2013

Time: 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM

Location: Clubroom Yudof Hall

Cost: Free

Description:

We had great success at our first World Cafe where we collectively created lists of issues around being a man in our cultures. We had thought provoking discussions around topics of masculinity, the 'man-box', and gender equity. It was great to see a diverse group of men who showed passion for encouraging growth for men now and in the future! For our 2nd World Cafe, we will be tying in the popular Vulnerability TEDTalk - http://www.ted.com/talks/brene_brown_on_vulnerability.html as a grounds to produce positive change. This World Cafe is designed for men and male-identified individuals, but all are welcome to attend. Please come (RSVP online)! Free pizza will be provided!
