Description:

Todd Herzog is an Associate Professor, Head of German Studies, and Director of the Graduate Certificate Program in Film, Media & Visual Studies at the University of Cincinnati. He is co-editor of the Journal of Austrian Studies. His books include Crime Stories (Berghahn, 2009), Rebirth of a Culture (Berghahn, 2008, with Hillary Hope Herzog and Benjamin Lapp) and A New Germany in a New Europe (Routledge, 2001, with Sander Gilman). He is currently working on a book about art and surveillance and editing volumes on German-language cinema to 1945, the idea of Central Europe in post-Wall cinema, and German and Austrian detective fiction. He regularly teaches courses in film and media studies and and European Studies, and leads study tours abroad.
