The Department of Theatre Arts & Dance, in collaboration with Theatre Novi Most, present the world premiere of Something About A Bear a modern fairy tale by well-known playwright Constance Congdon. Novi Most founders/artistic directors Lisa Channer and Vladimir Rovinsky will stage the production. Inspired by a beloved Russian story and reimagined in northern Minnesota, this tale features a mischievous wizard, a bear turned man, a cross-dressing princess, an epic snowstorm, and a tyrant king. Audiences ages 8-80 will delight in its magic, music, humor and heart. This production is part of Theatre Arts & Dance's Re-imagining Communirty Arts Partnerships (Ri-CAP) program. A post show discussion with the cast and directors follows this performance.
