Take time to view exhibitions including “The Architecture of Erginoğlu & Çalışlar” in the HGA gallery, recent student work from our study abroad activities in Istanbul and Haiti, and an exhibition of international work by AIA Minneapolis chapter firms. And be sure to stop by the grand opening of the Digital Fabrication Lab—a new, state of the art digital prototyping and fabrication facility located in Rapson Hall—where you can check out the next wave of technology for architectural prototyping in action including a 4-axis router, 3D scanner, 3D printers, vacuum former, and laser cutter.
The “Rendezvous with the U" lecture is co-sponsored by AIA Minneapolis, the University of Minnesota College of Design, School of Architecture, and Cass Gilbert Lecture Fund. The Architecture of Erginoğlu & Çalışlar ” and exhibition of student work from Istanbul are organized by the Goldstein Museum of Design (GMD). GMD programs are partially funded by the Minnesota State Arts Board through an appropriation from the Minnesota State Legislature and a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
